DESCRIPTION:The mission of San Luis Obispo NightWriters is to advance quality writing\, promote publication\, and expand author recognition in a forum that nurtures a spirit of community for all its members. \nSLO NightWriters is the Premier Writing Organization on the Central Coast and widely recognized for writer success and fulfillment and for providing SLO County with supportive and encouraging spirit of community for Writers. \nGeneral Meetings are held Monthly on the second Tuesday at \n5:15 pm (PDT) Critique Group Round Table\, and \n6:30 pm (PDT) General Meeting Presentation \nVictoria Kastner\, author of Julia Morgan: An Intimate Biography of the Trailblazing Architect\, published by Chronicle Books\, will\nbe the Guest Speaker at our General Meeting on\nTuesday\, November 8\, 2022\nat 6:30 pm. \nWhen Victoria Kastner paid her first visit to Hearst Castle many years ago\, she was told\, “An architect named Julia Morgan built this entire estate\, but we don’t know anything about her.” From then on\, she was hooked. She spent more than three decades as the castle’s official historian\, and her previous books include the definitive trilogy of its history. Now an independent researcher and lecturer\, she resides in Los Osos\, California. \nWe hope to see all SLO NightWriters members there.\nWe will meet at the United Church of Christ\, at 11245 Los Osos Valley Rd\, San Luis Obispo\, CA 93405.
