The Club was incorporated on April 4\, 1910\, and is one of the oldest private social clubs in San Francisco. It has survived and flourished through its first hundred plus years\, adapting to the changing times\, the 1906 Earthquake and Fire\, World War I\, the Great Depression\, World War II and the Loma Prieta Earthquake. \nEdward E. Young\, a popular San Francisco architect best known for designing Pacific Heights homes in the early 1900s\, designed the three-story clubhouse which has been home to the ladies of the Francisca Club since 1920.
