The Monday Club was founded in 1924 and since its inception has contributed greatly to our San Luis Obispo community. The beautiful historic building of The Monday Club was designed by architect Julia Morgan and constructed in 1933-1934.

The mission of The Monday Club Conservancy is to preserve and restore this historic landmark, to provide public access to the landmark for educational purposes, and to carry on other charitable and educational activities associated with this goal.

TMC Conservancy is pleased to welcome Victoria Kastner, author of Julia Morgan: An Intimate Biography of the Trailblazing Architect to TMC’s March 2027 General Meeting on March 1st. Join us for an illuminating lecture by Ms. Kastner as she shares fresh perspectives and New Insights into Julia Morgan, the pioneering architect behind Hearst Castle and hundreds of remarkable historic buildings.
